Metaphase
In Metaphase the chromosomes are moved, by changing the lenght of the attached microtubles, to the center of the cell.

Metaphase

  • Spindle fibers attached to either side of the centromere (kinetochore) change length so as to bring attached chromosomes to the center of the cell.
  • Nuclear membrane no longer present.
