Cell Biology

Telophase
In telophase the chromosomes sets reach the opposite sides of the cell, and become surrounded by new nuclear membranes. They uncoil and the DNA molecules are freed from their condensed packages. Cytokinesis, cell division and separation is usually completed during telophase, but not always. Interphase begins again.

Telophase

  • Chromosomes fully separated into new sets.
  • Chromosomes unpack and the DNA becomes accessible once more.
  • New nuclear membranes form.
  • Nucleolus often reappears.
  • Cytokinesis and cell separation begin and often end.
  • A new Interphase begins.
