| This molecule, know as phosphtidylcholine is a phospholipid commonly found in cell membranes. The top part of the molecule is strongly hydrophilic because of a positively charged phosphate group. The bend in one the hydrocarbons is caused be a double covalent bond between two carbon atoms. |
