About The Freshmen First-Year Mid-Year Survey
The Freshmen First-Year Mid-Year Survey is a questionnaire that was developed by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate Studies, with assistance from the Office of Institutional Planning. The questionnaire is administered to first-year freshmen who entered in the fall as they wait to register for spring classes. Students are asked about their awareness, and use of, various offices and services available to them on campus. Students are also asked about their study habits. The questionnaire provides a window into the experience of first-year freshmen at Brooklyn College. This survey was first administered in January 2007 (Fall 2006 entering freshmen participated), and was repeated in January 2008 and January 2009 for subsequent cohorts. The Freshmen First-Year Mid-Year survey reports highlight major findings of the survey.
