Emergencies are defined as any event that would cause harm to students, staff and operation of the campus.  Some typical examples would be a burst water pipe, exposed electrical wires, and defects with the buildings and grounds that would cause immanent danger to people, such as dangling tree branches.

While hot and cold calls are not emergencies, they can be called in. Someone will be dispatched to your location to evaluate the reason for your space being either too hot or too cold, and repair it, if it is possible. Many times the repairs do not take place in the room itself. Settings can be changed or repairs are made in the building’s mechanical rooms or in the Heating and Chiller plants. In these cases it may take several hours for the change to be noticeable in the room.
