Welcome to the Promotion and Tenure webpage of HRS!
Under the aegis of Associate Provost Jerry Mirotznik and Chair of the College-wide Promotion and Tenure Committee Professor R. Glen Hass, the Office of Academic Personnel serves as staff to the promotion and tenure process.
On this web page we have made available all the information you require to prepare your tenure and/or promotion materials. In each section, you will find information, documents that must be completed and calendars and guidelines that outline each process step by step. You will note that some documents are utilized in all promotion and tenure packages, but it is important to understand that there are different calendars for promotion and tenure and that the protocol differs slightly for each action. You should download only the documents which are required for the particular personnel action you seek.
You must read each document carefully before going forward with the process.
Only professors who notified the College by December 22, 2008 that they wished to be considered for promotion to be effective January 1, 2010 may participate in the process. Latecomers are not accepted.
If you have any questions about the promotion and tenure process, please feel free to contact Dr. Mirotznik at x5024, Dr. Hass at x5601 or Denise Flanagan at x5137. Ms. Anita Persaud, x5137, of Academic Personnel, will also be available to assist you.
