Spring 2007 PIERS Program: Deadline November 10, 2006

The Provost's Inititiave for Research and Scholarship (PIERS) provides release time and grant-writing support for eligible faculty interested in applying for external funding. The opportunity is open to full-time faculty in any department who are prepared to write a proposal to any sponsor whose policy is to provide full overhead.

We are happy to welcome Clark Lantz, the new Field Services Representative from the Research Foundation who will be working in our office every Wednesday from nine to five. The Field Services Representative is a new position that will provide Brooklyn College with a resource for all matters relating to the Research Foundation including Client Services, Grants and Contracts, Legal, Finance, OTPS and Employment Policy and Practice, including immigration.  His responsibilities are supplemental and in addition to the services currently administered by the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs.

Clark will also help train PIs, project directors, timekeepers and employees on the RF’s electronic systems.
