Setting Up Your Microsoft Exchange
(Microsoft Outlook) Profile - Outlook 2002 (Office XP)

1. Install Microsoft Outlook 2002.
2. Right click the Microsoft Outlook icon and select Properties.

   You will see the following screen:

3. Click Show Profiles

4. Click Add.
5. In Profile Name, type your first and last name.
6. Click OK.

7. On the next window, choose Add a new e-mail account.
8. Click Next.

9. Choose Microsoft Exchange Sever.
   
10. Click Next.

11. For Microsoft Exchange Sever, type:

    outlook.brooklyn.cuny.edu

12. Type your User Name.

13. Click Check Name. If prompted, enter your user name and password is (your e-mail password).

    The domain is BROOKLYNCOLLEGE.

    Your name and your server will now be underlined.

14. Click More Settings.
15. For an Exchange Account, typeyour first and last name.

16. Click the Advanced tab and check BOTH boxes for Encrypt Information:
    When using the network AND
    When using the dial up networking
17. Choose None for Logon network security.

18. Click the Connection tab and click Connect using my Local Area Network (LAN).

19. Click the Remote Mail tab and uncheck Disconnect after connection is finished.

20. Click Apply and then Click OK.

    You will be back to the following window:

21. Click Next and then click Finish.

    You will be back to the window directly below and your name will be added to the list. Your your name will be highlighted.

    You have completed setting up your Outlook profile.

22. Close the window and double clickOutlook to open it.
23. You can now begin to start use Outlook. When prompted, type your username, e-mail password and the domain: BROOKLYNCOLLEGE.
