There are now a total of 12 touchscreen BcBLINK kiosks on Brooklyn College’s campus. Users can view campus maps, find an office or staff phone number, have it dialed automatically, view campus events, and investigate highlighted topics. The kiosks also provide access to the BC Website. The existing kiosks at SUBO, Library, Whitehead, Boylan, Old Ingersoll, Plaza and Hillel Gate have been upgraded and five new kiosks have been installed (see below). The kiosks have been improved significantly to include: larger 17" displays, redesigned cabinets, and improved accessibility for users with visual impairments. The upgrades include:

• Braille Keyboard
• Headphone jack and volume control
• "Talking" announcements and directions
• "Talking" web pages

The new locations are:

• Plaza/Roosevelt lobby
• Roosevelt lobby
• James basement near the copy center/café
• James 1st floor near Admissions
• Ingersoll Extension lobby

New Staff Additions

Brenda DeSantis and Robin D. Tillman field hundreds of calls a day as the full time front desk ITS receptionists.

Petek Kent-Abbott works in Network Support Group on E-mail, web page and graphic projects.

Steven Simak works in the Network Support Group on E-mail and the ITS website.

All full-time and part-time staff and faculty are entitled to obtain college E-mail accounts. Applications are available at the ITS Reception Desk 0607 Plaza, x5861.
