A Kinder, Gentler E-Mail

ITS understands that we’re all very busy and an overstuffed inbox can cause a blood-pressure spike. To ease the burden of excess communication in an e-mail happy world, we’ve created twin e-mail programs that are very innovative. Each of them has the ability to target a particular audience with important information, so you don’t have to spend time reading through e-mail that, as it turns out, doesn’t pertain to you.

The first program is used for communication with students. BC executives can quickly and easily send e-mail to particular recipients according to specific criteria: day or night students, Fall or Spring students, etc. Students receive the e-mail directly from the sender and can read time-sensitive information that cannot wait for snail mail. Thus, students can quickly be reminded about anything from the performance of a play to a registration deadline. The other e-mail program is essentially the same and is used to communicate with faculty and staff. BC executives can choose from various parameters in order to reach a particular audience. For example, recipients can be sorted as full- and/or part-time, faculty or non-faculty, civil service only, by department, etc.

The twin programs are part of our ongoing effort to make your day more efficient and productive. We’re happy to spare your eyes a bit, too.
