SpotlightBrooklyn, NY - Students, faculty, and community leaders will consider key cultural issues at a "Dialogue on Race." The panel discussion, moderated by Deborah Shanley, dean of the Brooklyn College School of Education, will be held on Wednesday, December 2, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. in the Student Union Building, Campus Road at East 27th Street.
Jeanette Gadson, deputy borough president of Brooklyn, will give opening remarks. Brooklyn College President Vernon E. Lattin will provide a formal welcome.

Brooklyn College, founded in 1930, is one of the eleven senior colleges of the City University of New York. The school is known nationally for its core curriculum, which has been hailed by educators as one of the "bright spots" in American higher education. Located on a 26-acre tree-lined campus in Flatbush, Brooklyn College has a diverse student body representing more than 70 of the borough's 100 ethnic groups.
