The Fondazione Giuseppe Acerbi of Castelgoffredo, Italy, awarded a special prize for criticism of Italian American writing to Robert Viscusi, Broeklundian Professor, author of Buried Caesars, and Other Secrets of Italian American Writing (SUNY Press, 2006).
The Fondazione awards literary prizes each year to exponents of a different national or transnational literature. This year the Fondazione chose Italian American literature.
A professor in the College's English Department, Viscusi is also Executive Officer at the Ethyle R. Wolfe Institute for the Humanities.
