Composer’s Concert
at the Whitman Auditorium “That was very good,” conductor George Rothman told the BC orchestra’s string section during the rehearsal of the second movement of Camila Milan’s Urban Symphony. Rothman, an associate professor at the BC Conservatory of Music then added: “Please don’t play any louder – you are like clouds, just drifting by, softly.”
Monday night at 7:00 pm, the BC Conservatory of Music is presenting pieces by three composers in residence, including Milan’s. Make sure not to miss it.

Jessica Billiteri, a graduating student, will have a recital with pianist Mariya Broun at the Levenson Hall on Sunday, May 18 at 2:00 pm. The program includes works by Bach, Rodrigo, Reinecke, Hoover, and Borne.

After studying in her native Colombia since she was 15 years old, composer Camile Milan went to Cuba to pursue her studies before joining BC’s conservatory to get her degree in composition.
