New Mouse Logo to Decorate Equipment and Infrastructure Paid for by Student Tech Fee

A curly-tailed mouse will be popping up everywhere in the next few weeks. Students will catch sight of it on computer screens, on keyboards, printers, and even furniture. En route to the Physical Education Department, it may also be seen running along the side of the college's newly arrived Bod-POD, a futuristically shaped contraption used to analyze body fat.

The brightly colored mouse is the new logo that will appear on purchases made with funds from the Student Technology Fee. So far this year, the Tech Fee has paid for the new computers in the English, math, and sociology labs and in SUBO's Computer Corner. The Atrium and Wolfe labs have been upgraded with one hundred new PCs and a newly equipped computer classroom. A lab tracking system has also been purchased that, when implemented in the spring, will allow students to check on-line for computer availability in the labs, the library, and the Library Café. By eliminating aggravating waits for computer access, students will be able to plan their day more effectively.

The fee has also enabled the library to obtain new digital content and on-line journals. On order is a campus video communications system that will help the college to communicate important news immediately to students throughout the campus.

So keep an eye out for the mouse. You never know where it will show up next!
