Text Version
NEW INGERSOLL, which houses the science departments, was built in 1973 as an extension to Ingersoll Hall (built in 1935). Ingersoll honors Raymond V. Ingersoll, President of the Borough of Brooklyn when the site for the College was chosen and the move was made from downtown to the present campus.
"The price of leadership is the ability and the courage to do a little more than the average amount of individual thinking, to exercise something more than the average degree of independent judgment and to take the risks always involved in a self-directed course of action. "(Commencement Address by Mr. Ingersoll)
