Major personalities and developments in the architecture of Europe, Asia, and the United States. Major architects: Mies van der Rohe, Wright, Le Corbusier, Aalto, Kahn, Isozaki, Gehry. Major movements: the new Brutalism, utopian visions, Venturi, Post-Modernism, Rationalism, Deconstructionism.
Prerequisite: Art 1050 [1.3] or Core Studies 2.1 or Core Curriculum 1120 [1.2].
