Exploration of the foundations of Islamic art beginning in the Middle East in the seventh century, following the spread of artistic developments through North Africa, Europe, and into Central Asia up to early Ottoman Empire in the sixteenth century.

Prerequisite: Art 1050 [1.3] or Core Studies 2.1 or Core Curriculum 1120 [1.2] or Art 1010.
