Asian presence in the Caribbean. Critical survey of the history, role, image and contributions of Asian
people to the formation of Caribbean identity. Examination of indentureship, slavery, case studies of Asian descendants. Asian Caribbean contributions to art and culture, politics, social relations. The economic relations between Asia and the Caribbean
