CBSE 3456 Inclusive Education and Teaching Students with Special Needs
3 hours recitation, 20 hours of field experience; 3 credits
Objectives, variations and clinical practice in collaborative and co-teaching methodologies and curriculum development, evaluation, regulatory compliance, and application of early interventions to teaching all learners, with an emphasis on students with special needs. Planning curriculum and assessments in the content areas that are differentiated and understandable to students with a wide range of disabilities. Continuation of portfolio development. Field experience (20 hours) in special education and/or inclusive classrooms required. This course is the same as SEED 3456. (Not open to students who have taken SEED 3456.)
Prerequisite: CBSE 2001 and 2002.
