Approaches to the Western Tradition: study of a selection of texts from the Western literary tradition or canon; emphasis on the connections between the texts, cultural context, and origins of literary canons; examination of change in canons over time in response to social and aesthetic pressures. Satisfies Pathways College Option requirement.

Prerequisite: Junior standing.
