Study of a text in its literary, historical, and cultural contexts across time. Focus on textual analysis; literary, historical, and cultural influences on the production of the text; and responses to the text across time. Reactions to the text in different media. Satisfies Pathways College Option requirement. Satisfies Upper Tier Exploring Literature requirement for students following pre-Pathways general education requirements.
Prerequisite: Junior standing. (For students following pre-Pathways general education program prerequisite also includes satisfaction of the requirements of any three lower-tier core courses.)
