The Jewish experience in Muslim countries. Analysis of the Jewish communities in all aspects of life and the upheaval caused by their mass emigration, particularly to Israel and the United States. This course is the same as Judaic Studies 3405 [40.5]. (Not open to students who have completed Judaic Studies 4751 [75.1], "The Sephardic Heritage.")
Prerequisite: Judaic Studies 3011  or permission of the chairperson.
