Survey of Puerto Rican and Latino studies. Pertinent themes in Puerto Rican and Latino history, culture, literature, contemporary society, and politics within the Caribbean-U.S.A. context. Impact of the United States's economic policies on the island and the causes of Puerto Rican and Latino migration to urban centers on the continent. Puerto Ricans and other Latinos in New York City. Satisfies Pathways Flexible Core US Experience in Its Diversity requirement.
