Concepts and theories of the political, social, and cultural construction of sexuality. Investigation of the intersection of gender, sexuality, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, and class as forms of power and identification in America. Diverse social movements that have been built around issues of sexualities in the 20th and 21st centuries. This course is the same as Political Science 3155 [35].

Prerequisite or corequisite: Core Curriculum 1230 [2.3] or Women?s Studies 12 or English 1010 [1] or English *1012 [2] or permission of the coordinator.
