AFST 3243 Caribbean Carnival: History, Performance, Resistance
3 hours; 3 credits
Introduction to the political and performative aspects of Caribbean carnival. Includes a review of literature in performance: race, gender, sexuality, Caribbean music, masquerade and dance. This course is the same as Carribbean Studies 3000.
