The experience of immigrant groups as recorded in autobiography, folklore, and fiction. Becoming an American as recorded in photographs and film. Exploring relationships between text and image. This course is the same as English 3165. (Not open to students who have completed American Studies .)
Prerequisite: one of the following: English 1010 , or 1.2, or 1.7.
