BUSN 3425 Business Communication, Data Visualization, and Artificial Intelligence
3 hours; 3 credits
Introduction to the use of AI in business communication, data visualization, presentation, and
storytelling. Students learn to convey ideas and information clearly to targeted audiences. Using
industry-standard tools including generative AI, students explore, analyze, interpret, and present
data insights to support data-driven decision making. The course introduces effective business
writing techniques, graphic design principles, data visualization strategies, oral presentation
skills, and industry best practices.
Prerequisites: Computer and Information Science 1050, 1110, or 1115; Business 3400, Economics 3400, Psychology 3400, or Sociology 2112; English 1010 and English 1012
