CHST 3620 Intro to Social Work with Children & Youth
3 hours; 3 credits
Introduction to the philosophy, history, ethics, structure and challenges of social work with children and youth. Drawing from a Childhood and Youth Studies framework, this course explores how structural inequities shape the lives of young people and the range of practice methods, approaches, and interventions used in response.
Prerequisite: English 1010 or permission of the program director.
