Fundamental principles of nutrition as they relate to optimum health of the individual and the family. Social, economic, and educational implications. Evaluation of various mass media relating to the field. This course does not satisfy the department requirement for students majoring in foods and nutrition. (Not open to students who are enrolled in or who have completed Health and Nutrition Sciences 2210 .)
