Analysis and presentation of data. Abuses of statistics. Measures of central tendency; measures of variability. Hypothesis testing. Estimation. Tests of independence. Applications to various fields. Use of simple calculator required. (Not open to students who are enrolled in or have completed any of the following: any mathematics course numbered 2501 or higher, Business 3400 [30.2], Economics 3400 [30.2], 3422 , Psychology 3400 [40.1], 2600 .) Starting Fall 2018 Satisfies Pathways Required Core Mathematics and Quantitative Reasoning requirement.
