Puerto Rican, Latino/a, and Caribbean children in contemporary society. Relation of school curricula to their historical background and cultural contributions. Development of identity; knowledge and appreciation of heritage. Examination, use, and evaluation of instructional materials. Concepts, information, and materials necessary for effective work with target population.
