African heritage as a religious and cultural phenomenon in the Caribbean and the Americas. Contemporary Afro-Caribbean and European-derived folk religions and cults. Santerķa, Espiritismo, and curanderismo. Impact on Latin@ Diasporic communities.
Prerequisite: English 1010 or permission of the chairperson.
