Attention to general effectiveness in communication with emphasis on manner of speaking, voice, and diction. Exercises and projects in speaking and reading. For speakers of English as a second language. (Not open to students who are enrolled in or have completed Speech 1110 [10]. Not open to students who have completed more than five credits in speech.)

Prerequisite: completion of course assigned at speech screening interview.
