Relationships between men and women in America today. Cultural consequences of biological differences. Sexual stereotypes in mass media. Legal position and education of women in comparison with men. Different work opportunities and the problems of combining work and family. Role of minority group women. Movement toward sexual equality. This course is the same as Sociology 2600 [51.5].
Core Curriculum 1230 [2.3] with a grade of B- or higher, or Core Studies 3 with a grade of B- or higher, or Sociology *1101 , or permission of the coordinator.
