Program requirements: (12 credits)

Interdisciplinary minor, offered by the departments of Mathematics and Biology, including 10 credits in Mathematics (All of the following: Math 1201, 2101, and 2501) and 12 credits in advanced electives, each completed with a grade of C- or higher. Similarly, to enroll in any of the applicable courses, students must have completed the any pre-requisite courses with a grade of C- or higher. At least nine of the advanced credits must be completed at Brooklyn College.

Prerequisites for entry into the minor: Biol 1001, Biol 1002, Math 1201, Math 2101, Math 2501, with a C- or better. These courses are required for the minor. However, the credits from these courses do not count towards the department requirement of 12 credits to receive a minor.

At least 12 credits in advanced electives, from the following list, with at least six credits each from the departments of Mathematics and Biology, respectively: Math 1531 or Biol 1531, Math 2006 (Special Topic), Math 2706, Math 3111 or other approved advanced mathematics elective, Biol 3083, Biol 4010W, Biol 4024W, Biol 4025, Biol 4027 or other approved advanced biology elective.
