Supporting Documents for Matriculation:
Submit the following documents to the Office of Graduate Admissions:
1.Transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (applicants who earned a bachelor's degree outside the United States need to submit a 'Course by Course International Transcript Evaluation.' http://www.brooklyn.cuny.edu/web/admissions/graduate/apply/documents.php)
2. Two letters of recommendation
3. Resume
4. Personal statement explaining why you are choosing to become an art educator.
5. Submit a portfolio with images that demonstrate a working knowledge of a variety of media in addition to your specialty (10 to 15 images or a CD of art work).
6. Certified teachers applying for program option A, please submit a photocopy of your New York State or other state teaching certificate.
REQUIRED TESTS:
1. F-1 or J-1 international students must submit English Proficiency Exam. TOEFL- 79, IELTS- 6.5, PTE- 58-63, Duolingo 105-160.

All students accepted in to the School of Education are required to submit fingerprint verification before signing up for most education classes. Verification is needed if you already have fingerprint records or not.
