Location: 3439 Boylan Hall Phone: 718-951-5225 The Department of Speech and Communication Arts and Sciences has both a distinguished faculty and cutting-edge resources that provide students with a comprehensive range of studies in all aspects of human speech and related pathologies. With a combination of coursework, research, and clinical practicum, students gain a thorough grounding in the mechanics of speech and learn to recognize and treat speech disorders in adults and children, including those related to the voice, language, aphasia, stuttering, speech-and-language learning disabilities, and others.
