Live Webcast of Brooklyn College's Eighty-third Commencement Exercises will be available on May 29, 2008.

PREPARING FOR COMMENCEMENT 2008

When and where is the 2008 commencement ceremony going to be held?

Rain or shine on Thursday, May 29, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. to noon. Commencement Exercises will be held on the Quadrangle of Brooklyn College, one of the most beautiful campuses in the nation. Only those with commencement tickets will be admitted to the commencement area during that period. With the continuing changes necessitated by our campus growth, there may be fewer seats; therefore, it is even more important this year to complete the graduation eligibility process in a timely manner to obtain seating for your guests.

What must I do to be eligible to participate in Commencement Exercises?

You must file a diploma card with the Registrar's Office by March 15, 2008. This initiates a degree audit that determines your eligibility to participate in the ceremony and should also result in your name appearing in the Commencement Program.

Students who graduate following the fall 2007 semester (February 2008 graduates) are eligible to participate in Commencement Exercises on May 29, 2008, and should be receiving ticket information in the mail in early May.

Participation in the 2008 Commencement Exercises is limited to those candidates who have not attended an earlier commencement ceremony for the same degree.

When will I receive commencement tickets information?

If you are found eligible for graduation after filing, you should receive a commencement information postcard with ticket pick-up information by the first week of May 2008. Consult the Commencement 2008 web site for further information as it becomes available.

BEST WISHES TO THE GRADUATES OF 2008!
