The CUNY Board of Trustees recently announced a 5% tuition increase that will take effect for the spring 2011 semester. This increase has created an unexpected burden for many Brooklyn College students, due both to the added expense they must incur and to the limited amount of time our students have to secure the additional funds.

To help mitigate the impact of this tuition increase on our students, the Brooklyn College Foundation has established a new Supplemental Tuition Assistance Fund (STAF).

With your support, this fund will finance $100 scholarships to students who are enrolled in the spring semester for 6 credits or more, who are in good academic standing, and who are able to demonstrate financial need.

Each increment of $100 will finance a STAF scholarship for one qualified student.

The Brooklyn College Foundation does not charge overhead on gifts to this fund. Every dollar donated will go directly to student support.
