    After a 23-year career in daily journalism, serving as city editor, Brooklyn editor, City Hall bureau chief and religion writer for Newsday’s New York City paper, Paul Moses returned to Brooklyn College to join the journalism faculty. He specializes in writing about religion and New York City government and has spent time covering articles on the plans to convert Brooklyn Catholic schools into charter schools. His work has also focused on the impact of gentrification in Brooklyn. Among other Brooklyn-based organizations, Moses has collaborated with the Council of People’s Organization (COPO) and Brooklyn Community Access Television.

    An Associate Professor of English at Brooklyn College, Martha Nadell is currently at work on a literary and cultural history of Brooklyn, exploring the connections between Brooklyn’s literal topology, its bridges, subways, streets and houses, and its literary and visual topography. Her research is focused on connecting the changes in Brooklyn’s social and demographic history with its shifting literary landscape. Nadell has worked with the Brooklyn Collection at the Brooklyn Public Library and the Brooklyn Historical Society.
