An assistant professor of Puerto Rican & Latino Studies, Miranda Martinez’s work focuses on community-based movements and the Latino experience of urban space. Her current research looks at the experience of indebtedness in minority communities. Urban Sociology, U.S. Latino Experience, Community Development and Sociology of Consumption are focus areas of Martinez’s research.
