Areas of Expertise:
I conduct research on physician-patient communication, with a special focus on primary care physicians and older patients. My colleagues and I particularly enjoy translating our research into educational practice for medical students, residents, and fellows.
I am also interested in the more general area of health communication. Other areas of interest include women's health and social, cultural, political, economic and psychological factors affecting health.
