Areas of Expertise:
Research focuses on improving the effectiveness of clinical nutrition services, particularly in chronic disease management. Work has included psychometric testing of an assessment instrument for dietary management of type 2 diabetes based on "stages of change" model of behavioral change. Related work includes examining the continuum of care in delivering nutrition services as well as assessing the professional preparation for nutrition counseling, additional factors impacting effectiveness.
