Dr. Grov joined Brooklyn College in 2008. He received postdoctoral training at the National Development and Research Institutes (NDRI)(funded by NIDA). He has been collaborating with researchers at Hunter College's Center for HIV/AIDS Educational Studies and Training since 2003, and working in HIV prevention since 1999. Dr. Grov has pervasive training in research methods and in sampling hard-to-reach populations. In his free time, he is an avid fan of yoga, with a particular zest for vinyasa and hatha styles.

Dr. Grov teaches Biostatistics and Human Sexuality. He has an active research program in the areas of sexuality, drugs, and HIV. He is co-Principal Investigator on a 3-year NIH study that will develop an Internet-based Intervention to Reduce HIV transmission risks for Black men who have sex with men and women.

Dr. Grov's research centers on the sexual health of gay and bisexual men. His work has explored drug use, sexual compulsivity, and the role of the Internet in revolutionizing the sexual networks of gay and bisexual men. Collectively, his body of work seeks to inform HIV prevention and education.
