Wellness Information through Student Education (WISE)Raising the Bar; Creating Student Stars!
The Brooklyn College Wellness Information through Student Education (WISE) program is part of the Orientation program for entering freshmen. BC WISE will help you make the right choices if you face social, sexual and mental health concerns. All students who complete Part 1 and Part 2 of the Alcohol-Wise course will receive a portable study tool (I promise it is not a pen) and will be entered into a raffle to win one of three “Brooklyn College Welcome Kit” valued at $100. GET STARTED
If you are having any difficulty, please contact 3rd Millennium Classrooms directly by email, info@3rdmilclassrooms.com or by phone 888-810-7990. All entering freshmen need to complete this one-hour online Alcohol-Wise course during their first semester at Brooklyn College. You will need a passing grade of 70%. Freshmen will receive an email 30 days following completion of Part 1 to participate in the required 15-minute follow-up. Whether you drink or not, there is valuable information in this program. You will have a chance to look at your own drinking habits, learn tips on how to drink in moderation and avoid bingeing, and learn how to deal with others who are disruptive or in danger. WISE TEAMS - DON'T MISS THIS OPPORTUNITY TO CONTRIBUTE TO YOUR SUCCESS! Freshmen will also be contacted by WISE CAPTAINS and be invited to WISE Seminars throughout the fall semester. Captains are upper class students that have volunteered and received training to help students learn about Brooklyn College and become engaged members of the campus community. WISE Captains are currently recruiting members for their WISE Teams. Team members will receive additional one-on-one support and guidance. Please email Moraima Cunningham at mcunningham@brooklyn.cuny.edu if you would like to join a WISE Team. For more information on WISE please contact Moraima Cunningham at 718-951-5352 or email mcunningham@brooklyn.cuny.edu. |
