Office of Testing

Mission

The mission of the Office of Testing is to promote and maintain an atmosphere conducive to providing a constructive testing environment when administering the CUNY Assessment Tests (CAT), CUNY Proficiency Examination (CPE), College Level Examination Program (CLEP), and Distance Education Tests. Further, our mission is to consistently strive to assist and provide accommodations needed for group and individual settings when administering these tests and to provide excellent customer service.

The Testing Office is responsible for administering and recording the results of the CUNY Assessment Tests, the Calculus Placement Test,  and the CUNY Proficiency Exam (CPE). Exemptions from the CUNY Assessment Tests are also recorded on a student's record based on criteria set by CUNY. Click here for exemptions.

The Testing Office also serves as a Testing Center for College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and for distance learning students.
