Meet BC
"I have a million family members who went to Brooklyn College," says the sophomore, who was born in Brooklyn but grew up in Long Island. "My parents, grandparents, great uncles, two aunts, my brother and sister. The list is pretty long." Nonetheless, his decision to come to Brooklyn College was made on his own. Having worked two summers ago in the financial office, he learned a lot about the College. "There's a pretty good cast of professors here," says Gold, a business, management, and finance major. "And good facilities too." Gold likes to hang out in the WEB lab, his favorite place on campus because of its great computers, helpful staff, and comfortable lounge facilities. "It's also the coolest place on campus during the summer time," he adds. He has found it easy to make friends on campus and loves the fact that in classes the students are not shy. "We have some pretty lively discussions in a lot of my classes," he says. "That really makes them worthwhile." He plans to go on to graduate school for an M.B.A. and is thinking about a career in international finance. "Multicultural interaction has always been appealing to me," he says. |
