| TITLE: |
The Brown Bag luncheon -Arthritis Prevention and Treatments |
| DESCRIPTION: |
The Brown Bag luncheon series continues with a special presentation by Michael Mattia, PT, DPT, MS, director of physical therapy and speech language services at The Beth Israel Medical Center, and director of Mattia Physical Therapy of Brooklyn, which has served the Brooklyn Community for 25 years.
The aches and pains caused by arthritis that often interfere with simple movements of the hands, arms, knees and feet can be prevented, alleviated, and eased by exercise and nutrition. You are never too young to learn about ways to prevent this disease that affects 1 in 3 Americans.
Arthritis is second only to heart disease as a cause of work disability and half of those Americans afflicted with arthritis do not think anything can be done to help them.
