Brooklyn College Math Club: A Monte Carlo Study of Generalized Sudoku Puzzles  

DESCRIPTION: Based on research done with students, professor Whitlock will be exploring the use of Simulated Annealing - a Monte Carlo Method- to study Sudoku on 3 and 6 faces of a cube. Often use in computing. The Monte Carlo Methods are a class of computational algorithms that rely on repeated random sampling to find an outcome.
