| DESCRIPTION: | How do you feel about your body? Is there a certain part that you think should be different? Maybe you have accepted the myth of the “perfect body.” In Moving From the Underbelly, we challenge the notion of the ideal female figure by exploring new conceptions of our physicality by drawing, dancing and writing our way toward acceptance, and joy in who we are. As we work in the arts, we support each other in understanding what lies beneath cultural myths and then learn, together, to celebrate our true beauty!
